General: Calm atmosphere. Very neat and organized. They make the plates in front of you. They serve pretty nice sized portions. The owner is very personable and kind. There’s a very encouraging and inspiring backstory behind the establishment. Price: I got the popular large Oxtail dinner that comes with rice and beans and 2 sides and it totaled around $30, which is understandable because oxtail is a very premium type of meat. Food: Cabbage is very flavorful and savory. Peppers in the cabbage gave it a good hint of sweetness. Yams were very cinnamony and sweet. Very good. Oxtails very tender. Flavorful. Smoky. Not too fatty. Cooked in a good tasting sauce. Jerk seasoning very flavorful but not spicy. Rice and beans very good, nicely seasoned, rice cooked well. Plantains cooked and seasoned very well. Slight crunch on the outside but very savory on the inside which was very satisfying. Very sweet. Maybe one of my favorite sides I haven’t heard a lot of ppl talk about. Overall: Best Jamaican food I’ve had in the 5 years I’ve been in BloNo. Food so good, had me ready to lay down and take a nap after eating. Rating: 9/10
